Cool Oregon XJ Owner

To start things off my names Vee, not my real name but everyone calls me that so Ill stick with it. I picked up my 89 XJ Limited for $650 from a gentleman here in Klamath Falls who was moving out of state and had to sell it quickly. It has 188k miles on the stock inline 6 and auto trans. I have been lurking a few jeep forums finding information on the XJ's and what they are capable of with proper mods. So far my goal is to build a reliable excursion vehicle, I'm looking at a 6.5" lift from Iron Rock Offroad with 33" KM2's. But while figuring that all out I came to the conclusion that the stock axles won't be my best bet so I've found many sets of Dana 44 axles, front and rear, both high and low pinion designs at the local wrecking yard, they even have rockwells lol. Anyway once I unload my enclosed car hauler the proceeds will go directly into my new project. Still trying to find a local Wheeling club tho, id like to explore this area abit and get to know my XJ abit better. I've taken it on a few trails out by Medford but I know there's a lot here in town because I can see them from the freeway lol.

Yea that would be awsome, I definite would rather wheel with another person since I barely know where I am up here and would hate to get stuck. I rode a fire trail out here on a quad once and got lost for 3 hours and almost ran out of gas. Luckily those Arctic Cats have big gas tanks lol
