Well got all new warner exhaust with a cherry bomb muffler...she sounds good now and it feels like theres better flow than the old original rusted muffler and pipes
Also took her out on a random road looking for some 4x4 spots all the gates are still closed from winter so I just put it on a rock to see where she was.

Alright well last week got my all new exhaust from quadratec, great OME product for a pretty cheap price. Slapped on a larger Cheery bomb glass pack and now shes got new exhaust from the header back.
She sounds pretty damn good IMO
Also this week just got the new RE Adj. Trac bar, RC Sterring stabalizer, Fat bobs dropped pitman arm, and RE extended yoke for drive line. Hopefully this with the Tcase drop will eliminate any DL vibrations.
Next added a few extra HP with these two stickers...lol

Lift Accepted
Well got all the lift components and went ahead on the install hoping I wasnt missing anything.
Thanks to my buddy Matt from Carson Crawlers who had the garage and necessary tools on hand to help.
First issue we ran into, sway bar links wouldn't budge so we cut them.
Alright first spring in
Now we got the brake lines extended, Lower control arms in, Shocks in, ran into a problem with upper control arms, have to deal with that next week.
Alright front wheels on looking nice right now!!
Alright on to the back
Ran into the next problem, there's always one F*$@in bolt that wont go, well fire helps that..
Alright got that bolt out what a PITA!!
Rear end bolted up with new full leaf packs
Alright hooked up the shocks and rear brake line extensions tightened the hell outta all the bolts and damn....It had already been 9 hours...sheesh time flies when cranking on bolts.
Well took her for a test drive and she handled pretty good.
Gotta get upper control arms in, new balljoints and U-joints and get the alignment done and she will be solid. Then I can throw on the 33's.
So far I'm fairly impressed with the 4.5" RC x-series lift kit\

Alright a little update on the ol' 88
Got the new ball joints, new U joints, and the Rustys HD steering rod on and the 33's on her.
Boy o Boy ball joints are fun...
After this, had an overheating issue so replaced the upper radiator hose, new 180 degree no fail thermostat, and a new beefier thermo housing and she purrs at 190 degrees on the trail now.
So I finally got to take her out on the 33's and do a "lil" flexing, nothing major till I get the power trax no slip locker and the rock sliders on the side, but it still felt good to get her out on a trail that had some rocks and bumps.
So in the next few weeks, get the locker in, the new rock side rails and then I'm gonna go attempt the Rubicon cause it's in my backyard... :-)

New things and stuff
Alright well the update goes I have just built some custom LED tail lights for the rear so the ol' XJ has a little more personality.
I also did a DIY Posi lock on the front to get rid of the stupid air lock 4x4.
Well after that it was time to take her out and see how she did actually crawling a few rocks. Besides smashing the bottom of my door corner and a few dents on the outside she did really well in this dried up river bed in the valley of Gardnerville Nevada with a few buddies from the Carson Crawlers group.

So after this trip realized how important getting the front end locked and the rock sliders on the sides are gonna be. Till next paycheck she sits.

Alright well I got some rock sliders I'm gonna weld up to the sides, got some adj. leaf shackles to put the rear end up another 2", and hopefully get my locker ordered this next week, throw my shims in the rear and some things will be looking good.
Also after that last lil rock climbing trip realized I gotta cut a lil bit outta the front fender still, then she might be Rubicon ready in like 2 weeks.

New things and stuff
Well I decided to go with new manual doors rather than paying $80 a motor and dealing with putting them in. Got this set for $50 off craigslist.
Nice thing about having a flat black paint job is its easy to match color...lol
Well this is how she sits now....
Thought it would be fun to do a before and after pic....
This is what I've done to her in the last 4 1/2 months
