Hey Guys,

Names Tom, but feel free to call me Fitz. Not new to the forum, as I've talked to a few of you guy and have posted plenty. Just realized I haven't done an intro, so I wanted to get one out there.

Currently on my 2nd XJ, but this is the first one I'm working on myself, and I'm teaching myself as I go. Always on CF to research, ask questions, and read build threads.

Have everything I need to get my XJ in the air, just need to find the time to get it done.

Appreciate the help! I hope to be able to return the favor.

I'm actually outside of Detroit in Warren. Although I used to spend a whole lot of time down there. I say Detroit because people know where it's at.

How about yourself?

Nice. That's northeast of me, but not too far.

About 15 minutes depending on which corner you're in. Give a shout if you ever need a hand with anything. I've only had my xj since January, but I've got another buddy with a mildly built 01, and there's not much we couldn't do!

Appreciate it. Same to you. I'm learning as I go, so even if I just observe some work taking place it's all good knowledge to me.

Are you going to lift yours? Your profile says "stock".

The plan was to do it this weekend, but there's a good chance I'll be pulling some OT, so it'll just be ujoints and possibly a radiator and hoses on Sunday. I'm doing a bastard 3" lift with RC front and I'm not positive on the back, but I know it's full leaf pack.

Nice, that was my plan too, but I'm drivin up north for Memorial Weekend, I psyched myself out. I don't want to run into any issues on the way up or while I'm 3 hours away.

I've got a 3.5" OME lift and 31's just dying to be put on!

I was born in the D, and lived in Birmingham until I was about 3-4 and moved to Baltimore with my family in the early 80's. A lot of family still up there just outside of the city...so Can't say I'm "from Detroit", but I have roots in the area...considering doing a bachelor party there this summer

You were only here till you were 4 and you're a Lions fan? That's surprising. Most Lions fans are long time Michiganders. Love the dedication!

I don't think too many of us are ACTUALLY from Detroit, we just have ties to it. I personally have always lived close as hell to Detroit, and used to spend a ridiculous amount of time down there.

By the way, Welcome to the forum!

That's what us city folk do for Memorial Weekend... Go up to spend time with good friends and family, BBQ, sit by a fire, and drink ungodly amounts of crappy beer! Hahaha! Wouldn't miss it for the world!

I'll be up in Roscommon. It's like a 10-15 minute drive to Higgins Lake. How bout you?

Haha, a group of Jeep friends are going camping at south Higgins state park for the weekend and were planning on hitting a couple trails while we were up there! There will be my buddy with his XJ, a friend with his lifted WJ, and another friend with their TJ. Depending on the circumstances, I may end up putting my little stocker through its paces that weekend.
