Howdy all. New to this forum, any forum actually.. owned several XJs over the years mainly for hunting purposes but recently purchased a 96XJ as a build project with my 10 year old son so hopefully when he is 16 he will appreciate it since he put his hard work and sweat into it.
currently have a new motor, transmission transfer case built for it. Also cutting out the rear cargo pan and installing a new one with some rust preventative added. Locker in rear and 4.10 gears, rustys lift, quick disconnects, Rustys rock sliders and rustys bumpers so far.. No telling how it will be in 6 years.
Gets my son doing man stuff and away from video games!

Welcome to the forum from CA. Nice looking rig with a real good start at making an awesome family toy. I started mine out letting him play in the shop, play in the projects etc. He still comes around 40 years later with his Jeep projects
