Hey guys new here I'm from pa and I go to rausch creek often I'm upgrading my xj from a 5.5 to what I was told is an 8 but I only got rear coils so far would like to make sure it'd an 8 so I know what coils I need if there is any out there with somthing close to an 8 if you could get a measurement from the axle center to the bottom of the rear window that would be awsome thanx

Welcome to CherokeeForum! Out of curiosity, what kind of linkage setup are you running with the coiled rear? Making all the brackets yourself, or going through a kit?

Search through some of the build threads here, other websites I'd suggest for simply looking up info would be Pirate4x4 and NAXJA. Personally not fond of either, but they are a terrific source for technical data.

Welcome to CF!
More than spring size (if we are talking rear coils?) Is the spring perches, & how u go about the top mount... If the spring retainer is just welded to the bottom of the "frame", & the axle perch is tall then you won't need much spring at all to give you 8"s...
So give us a little more info or some pics & we can better inform you
