New ZJ owner in Tulsa area
After many years of wanting one, I finally got myself a first-generation Grand Cherokee.
I've only had one 4x4 other than this one, a 1988 Isuzu Trooper, the purchase of which turned out to be such a bad idea that it had me questioning my own intelligence and fitness to live. Seriously, I've strapped motors to bicycles and had more dependable transportation than that trooper.
But the ZJ... it's amazing. It has the 5.2 V8, full-time 4x4, and more bells and whistles than I know what to do with. It runs and drives like a brand new car.
I've only had two issues with it, one that turned out to be a burned solder joint in a pulse generator in the wiper circut, the other one is something a little more involved - my speedometer and tach don't always give an accurate reading.
