New XJ Owner from West Virginia
Brent here.
Glad to be part of this forum. Lots of great info here. I have been lurking for a couple of weeks. Purchased my 2001 Limited about a month ago. It had 76K miles on it when I drove it off the lot. One owner, garage kept. I will get some pics up soon.
I need to start the 'process'; fluids, plugs, filters, etc. I really need to put tires on, I don't care for the Kelly's that came on it, sliding around on wet roads is not fun.
Buildup will be next spring/summer: exhaust, suspension, etc. Looking forward to it.

I'm in Martinsburg on business this week and spend a lot of time in Charleston. I see a lot of XJs in WV as I drive through the state. Your XJ sounds like mine when I got it, and I did the exact same thing including getting new tires. I've put 12k trouble free miles since I bought it, and it's been good to me. I like driving it over my Mustang sometimes!

Welcome, from Wisconsin. Check out Cooper Discoverer ST's, Or (the more aggressive) STT's. I'm using the ST's, because mine is a daily driver. And not that much road noise. A good tire for the price.

I will check out the Coopers, thanks! I have had BFG All Terrain T/A's on several other trucks I have owned and loved them. Perfect for what I do on the road and off. I am leaning toward putting a set of those on the Cherokee.
thanks for all the replies. This is a great forum with a lot of knowledge. I will be a regular for sure.
