New XJ owner from Kansas City
Hey guys, my name is Justin, from the Kansas City area. I've been lurking on here for a while and thought I'd join. I'm not hardcore enough for pirate 4x4, and not a huge fan of naxja, so here I am! I have a 98 Cherokee, bought it a couple months ago with about 135k on the odometer. Got it very cheap, the owner thought the tranny was bad, I put new solenoids and a nss in it, and it was fixed.
It has a RC lift, it's about 4"-4 1/2", looks like someone did a 3" lift and some spacers. It already had steel wheels and 31x10.50 MT mud terrains that were almost new. I had to replace some worn chassis components, and I ended up putting a hd steering linkage kit on it, drop pitman arm, etc. In my opinion, the RC kit is junk. It rides worse than any lifted jeep Ive been in. I want to be on 33's. I'm at the point right now of figuring out who's kit to go with, and how much lift I need for 33's. I want to keep it as low as possible, but obviously need plenty of clearance so I don't cut them. What's your guys thoughts?
Oh, for what it's worth, that's my father in laws JK behind it. If anyone wants to see recent pics I can post them. It's on 33's now and has a stubby front bumper, vr8000, smittybilt xrc sliders, 4 door rubicon springs and 2" spacers, custom bumper and tire carrier I built.
