New from SW Michigan
Hello all, I just purchased a 2000 Cherokee Classic from a couple in Chicago. This is my second Cherokee, first one was an '85 2-door with the GM 2.8L V6. I will post some pictures when I get home, as I'm still in Chicago at the moment. But it's Black, 4-door, has the NP242 Transfer Case and iv'e determined last night over beers, that it's to dang pretty to wheel.... she's gonna get dirty anyways! Well, I wanted to say hello and see who else is in the SW MI area! I look forward to participating in the forum, I've been watching it for a few weeks since I decided it was time for another Cherokee and most of you (haha) seem decent enough to hang out with evening and maybe some weekends!
Cheers!

Hey, I'm from Indy and just bought a 2000 Classic too. I have the Command Trac now, but plan on going to the 242 really soon. I've already sourced a transfer case from a local junk yard. Welcome to the board.

That looks almost exactly like mine, except for the wheels, and mine now has oak pin stripes. Oh yeah, and mine is a 2001. Looks good. Welcome from OK!

Haven,
I am dying, literally to get off-road with her. Nothing to technical at this point, she's still stock. In fact the only time she's been off-road at this point is maybe when I drove it in the yard on the way home! The people I bought it from said they never took it in the dirt.

Well, we do plan a bunch of runs through out the year. Or we have a small play area in Richland, but we have to wait for dear season to end before we can play there again. just don't like the idea of possibility of getting shot.
