Hello all. New guy here from Illinois. Moved my family down here to southern Illinois to finish up my A&P license and get my degree in aviation technologies at Southern Illinois University. I own a lifted 1995 Cherokee. Love this jeep alot and am interested in doing some cool stuff to it. First plan on doing a diamond plate floorboard conversion due to floor board rusting away, dana 44 conversion, and then throwing my Camaro's LS1 mounted to a 4l60. Of course the floorboard and powerplant swap might have to wait until I get out of school due to lack of $$$$ and other projects I already am doing. I'm a Navy veteran and have been a metal fabricator for 13 years. I guess this sums up my intro so now I gonna try to figure out how to post pics to my intro.

The Shawnee National Forest has some nice trails and spectacular views. If you're up for a drive, there is Turkey Bay at Land Between the Lakes. Redbird SRA is also a couple of hours from here in So IN.

 

I got a buddy who lives down by LBTL's. Will have to check it out next time I'm down there
