What's up everybody!? I'm new to the Jeep family. I'll be picking up my first XJ, 1990 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 next week. The owner is selling for $400, mileage under 180k, minor damage on the left side of the doors and roof, since he doesn't have the pick slip, didn't pass smog, but the tags are good for this year.., and just can't wait to work on the beast.

Cool. I got mine cheap under similar circumstances. I assume you know you still have a time limit to get the smog done and get it transferred? Nice wheel too.

 

Thanks! I know I have a time limit get the smog done and transferred over. The XJ came along with the wheels.

 

Smog is a pain.

I'm also in San Jose, and I've spent a lot of time under RENIX hoods (1987-1990 6-242) - and I've personally owned five. Got an 88 downchecked, pending refit. So, I've been around for a bit.

Where in town are you? I'm off of Hillsdale.
