Just got my first 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport a week ago and im already been addicted to this forum looking up stuff about them. So if figured i would join the group with everyone. She is 100% stock right now and to my surprise in really good condition for how many miles are on it. She has $213,000 and there is one rust spot on the bottom right corner of the back hatch. i have replaced all the fluids in her except the tranny fluid. Not sure if i should do that this is my first Automatic vehicle so i figured id wait till i knew more but she shifts fine. Except it shifts a little rough only when going from Reverse to Drive or Drive to Reverse. Other than that she drives and sounds perfect. Hopefully i will find some advice on here as i search the site to fix my only problem. I love my jeep and its been a week. im hooked!

Nice looking Jeep, welcome!!! I'd say flush the tranny and change the filter, I've never had a problem with and auto in my XJ's but my current rig is a AX-15 manual and in dire need or a clutch. Try to keep her rubber side down!
