Hey my name is Josh and I'm new into the whole off-roading scene. My stepfather has a Land Rover Discovery and now I'm starting to get hooked on off-roading. I am looking around on autotrader and was wondering if you could give me some advice on these vehicles (pros, cons, how long they last, etc.) Also if there is any other advice regarding anything I should know about the whole process, let me know. I know this is a Cherokee forum, but I'd appreciate advice on these:

1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 Laredo
Mileage Unlisted

1999 Dodge Durango 4x4
86,000 miles

1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 Laredo
Mileage Unlisted

1998 Ford Explorer 4x4 4 Door
95,000 Miles

These are all under $5,000, and I'm assuming that the mileage for the Jeeps is a large factor in determining the value. Thanks for the help and looking forward to being part of the forums.

The '94 ZJ has only 111k on it, but it has some leaks.. but those can be fixed. I am seriously considering this buy and project

 

I had a '97 Grand Cherokee V8, AWD, w/180,000+ miles on it and it was still in great condition when I recently sold it to my son. Can't say anything about the other vehicles.
