Hey everyone,
Last month I traded a 2004 Honda VTX 1300c bike for my 2000 Cherokee. Since the day I've had it I have been trying to find everything I can do to make sure it runs well for quite a while. Just had the leaf springs replaced; someone had thrown in 2" riser blocks and the old leaf springs were flat as can be. I called St Louis Springs and they made me new springs with an extra leaf. I wondered how it'd look and if the rear stabalizer bar would stop rubbing the rear passanger tire, it is an amazing difference. Not sure, but I'd say it has a 3" lift in the rear so now I may need to raise the front a bit. I bought a service manual and downloaded one to my phone so I can learn to do as much as I can on my own.
I plan to tackle the rear breaks myself in the very near future. I've had the transmission fluid flushed and refilled, all lube points done and all other fluids replaced. I've gotta find out how to replace/repair the emergency brake and several more things. I've been here a little and I'm thankful for those who gave good advice. The way I see it you can do this
or this
but I prefer to
trough and my new toy!

Welcome to the site
And the rear brakes arent bad at all, except some springs are a PITA. But I own a kit used specifically for these kind of brakes if that helps you at all
