Default New jeeper central Ohi'a

Howdy. New to the jeep thing, definately not new to the mechanical thing though. Have plenty of experience turning a wrench, burning a torch and laying a bead amongst other things. That being said, just bought a 93 xj 4 door, 5spd 4x4. Plenty of miles on the chassis, 99 motor, new tires and shocks and some anger issues (stock tubular headers, seriously?!). Paid 1800 and drove her home to discover the u joints likely need replaced, axle joints are complete junk and sound as if they might explode when you turn the wheel, muffler has no hangers *clunk* and the highway manners are less than desirable. Oh hey... and the good majority of the sheet metal beneath the cab needs replaced! Yeah, I got ripped off. Guy said his day job was a car salesman... doh! I will do my best to be photographic about getting this vehicle back into shape and then some, maybe give ya'll something to think about. Looking forward to it!
