New Jeep guy here!
Hey all,
A quick hello... I just picked up a '99 Cherokee Sport from a local school district that was auctioning off its surplus vehicles (got it for $875.) Needs some work but I'm looking forward to the challenge of it.
Can anyone confirm for me if the OBD codes on this car can be read via the odometer/key trick, or if I need to take it to a shop to be read? I tried, but couldn't get it to work... but I may be doing it wrong.

And thanks to both of you for the welcome... I'm selling my MGB right now and although the cars are nothing like each other, the enthusiasm and helpfulness of each community is exactly the same.
