New here, may be getting '93 Cherokee
Due to a death in the family I may soon be getting a '93 Cherokee. I'll have the use of it for a while and maybe get legal ownership. At this time i only know it's a 4WD, automatic and 6 cylinder. Until I can get to the remote area where it now is, I don't know if it's even in running condition.
I do know it has not been taken care of, so i at least expect to have to do fluid changes, etc. However until title is clear I don't want to put too much into it in case paperwork does not get straightened out for me.
So far I've learned that it should be Chrysler OBD-1 compatible, and that the transmission is an odd one that requires special ATF.
I'd appreciate any advice, or if there's already a thread on this, please let me know how to search for it.
Thanks,
Old Rascal

Welcome, '93 should be a good year, the transmission would probably be a aw-4, which is a good one and it should be obd-1.
