I just wanted to introduce myself. I live in Florence SC and I have owned a 98 Cherokee for the past 5 years or so but it was totaled about 6 months ago. I have been driving my IH Scout II for the past 6 months looking for another XJ and finally found another 98 XJ. I promise to do a thorough search before I post any noob questions. I look forward to being a part of the community.

Haha which one? I have 6 of them presently and have had as many as 14 at one time in the past. I will take some pictures of it when I pick up the new XJ tomorrow.

 

wow that's a quite a collection. so u're the culprit that has all the good Scouts in their possession. haha i recently developed a love for the Scouts just last last year. primarily the Traveller and Travelall. one of these days i will have one. muwahahaha <-- saying that like dr. evil

 

I don't have a Traveler right now but I do have a Terra which is the same 118" wheel base truck only with a fiberglass pickup truck top and bulkhead. I have been driving my 79 100" wb Scout II and while I love my Scouts I really did need a modern vehicle again in case I wanted to drive more than 100 miles and still be able to hear.

i like the way this traveler looks. if and when i get my dream scout i would prob do a similar set up but painted flat black, white or gun metal. but until then, i can just dream. haha

Took some pictures of the new XJ. It has 127k on it and it runs good. I need to get new exhaust for it though as the cat is rattling and the rear hanger busted off. I wonder what just a stock replacement job would cost? Here are the pictures of the new 98 Sport.
