Default New guy from SB , CA

Hey everyone. Just wanted to say hey. I bought a 96 XJ Country with a 3.5 inch lift, some 33's and quite a few other upgrades a few weeks ago. Love the thing but it's currently waiting to get some repairs done after it rolled onto it's side on a trail out here in Santa Barbara.

Should only be a few weeks before it's good to go. A broken windscreen and rear back window (with some window frame damage) plus new mounts for my lightbar and a new fender. Can't wait to get back on the road though!

Anybody else from around this area?

Sweet. I'm also very new to California, having lived in the UK, Japan and Austria for the last 10 years, so i'm learning the area too. I've heard there are some really good trails out in San Bernardino, and it's on the cards for a drive sometime this year.

Shoot me over a PM when you are ready! There is everything from 2wd friendly trails to ones that challenge even a heavily modified Jeep. Cleghorn is probably the most popular trail out my way.

Haha your weather is similar to what I had living in Kyoto and England. That's a big part of why I chose SoCal to move to. Needed heat and sun in my life.

Will do. It'll be a few months before I'm back on the road I would expect. Lots to take care of on the Jeep and i've got to get the go-ahead from the Doc to get behind the wheel again.

Anxiously waiting to drive again though.
