Default New Guy From California Wine Country

Greetings the wine country of Northern California! I just picked up an "89 XJ back on the 12th of December. I have posted a few times but, never did an official introduction until now.

I have my cousin to thank for this little Cherokee gem. Less than 65,000 original miles on it, so, it has been sitting more than it has been on the road. Time to give it some TLC and let it go out sightseeing!

Although it is not in perfect shape, it's leaps and bounds better than my 1988 Mazda MX6. I finally retired the Mazda with over 304,000 miles on the odometer. Not a bad vehicle but I like something with a little more steel around me. Seems like the Cherokee will fit the bill nicely.

Hey, I even know where that is! I have friends in Chico and Paradise.
Looks like I might be up in that area Sunday. Not looking forward to paying for fuel to drive up there, though.

No the gas tax sucks! Is it any cheaper for 87 up there? The Chevron by my work is $3.29 and the Shell by my house is $3.09.

And another welcome from down south! Post some pics!
