Default New girl to this jeep thing! (now with photos)

Hey all....

Names Tanya, I am 25 living in northern Canada, and just bought me my first jeep!! She's a 89, inline 6, standard... I want to build her as a hunting/heavy duty camping rig... I was running a ranger for a couple years, but sold her to buy a bigger truck..

I am hoping all you wise, been there, done that... Got the teeshirt guys will have some advice and wisdom to pass to me.... I paid $480.00 for her running! So it's only up hill from here!!

Welcome. Not a bad deal for a running Jeep. Leaves you plenty money for mods.

Thanks for the warm welcome... I'll post some pics later today... I hope we northern Canadian are not scared of the dark... I am a 12hr drive from the artic circle! We get close to 24hrs sun in the summer and only a few hours of day light in the dead of winter!

I am so excited for this build!!! I want to build her over time.. I am hoping to take her hunting for caribou at the artic circle at the end of October!! Maybe a lift and new tires, then go from there!!!

That Jeep looks to be in pretty good shape for what you gave for it. It's a perfect start for an awesome XJ trail rig.

Welcome to CF. And love the deer foot sticking out of the old truck. Jeeps have always been the way to go, and your jeep looks really good for 450. Time to put some money into a suspension lift... Get rid of your rear end sag that way

Nothing can go wrong when "The Fonz" is kickin' it on the tailgate of a Jeep.
