hey guys -
getting back into offroading trucks again - spent some time doing fourwheelers and SXS's and it got more expensive than jeeps and to many A-holes and drunks for my kids to be around so i cam back to jeeps.
i picked me up a 2000 XJ with a VERY clean interior. paint is good, no rust, new 31" at's and new black 15x8" Dwindow wheels. it has a 2" tera flex budget boost on it now and had been in 3 accidents, but all minor. the last crash he got in was still unfixed. (rear bumper crunched and slight dent to lift gate and driver side bumper trim missing)i paid $2350. not to bad. the previous owner had double stacked the rear shackles and it rode like junk and it ripped the rear shocks in half. i have since taken off the rear bumper in prep for a REAL bumper, fixed the double stacke shakles, and added new rear shocks. the front tires also scrubed to i trimmed the fenders. i plan on taking my time with this build. im going to start with front and rear bumpers. looking at trail ready and C.ROCK. then move on to JCR rocker slides, then HOOLIGAN tube fenders. after i get the body like i want then i will move to suspension. looking at iron rock if i go big or rough country 4.5" LA and keep it a little lower. iv even been tossing the idea around in my head to do the rough country 4.5" and get portal axles.
any way - glad to be back in the jeep thang.
