Been registered here for a couple weeks, but not introduced myself.
My name is Jeremy, and currently own a Gold 1989 XJ. Not new to XJ's but it's what I currently have. It's a base model, Newer 242HO I6 (has typical valve cover gasket leak.. grr!), AW4, NP231.. All stock except for 3.73's, K&N drop-in and some AR alum Wheels and 30x9.5 Bridgestone Duelers. I also recently installed a 125Amp HO Alternator, 1000ca battery and replaced the serp belt. She is not much too look at as clear coat is peeling on hood and roof.
Newest mod is a shattered back window courtesy of some dip****, luckily it was tinted.. so its still "together"

First Welcome from TEXAS. Next if it is a stock 89 then it does not have a HO engine. It is a Renix era Jeep. Double welcome because they are my specialty.

I realize they do not have HO stock, but the engine that is in it, is an HO from a later model XJ. The PO had it installed.

Also.. one peice I forgot, is that it has an aftermarket muffler, with a turn down, have not identified it yet, but sounds pretty good I suppose.
