Stopping in to say hi. Not really sure why I never joined the forum, I've been into XJ's for a long time. I've had 5 so far, to me they are the original SUV, that was built tough, easy to fix, and won't die. So the time came when the wife needed something to put the kids in, and I was getting back into cruising the Pine Barrens the choice was obvious. So with a budget of under $2,000 I came upon a 1997 4dr Xj for $1400, It has 226,000 miles on it but I'm not scared of it. It blew a ton of black smoke when I got it but new 02's, and some repair of the wiring fixed that. I'll slowly be modding it with a small lift, and new wheels/tires as money allows. My last XJ was a '99 I bought with only 32k on it but got the Mustang bug and traded it in on a new GT. Heres some pics.

Cool stuff man. That's a sweet machine - especially for the price. Looks great.
