Question Need Ya'lls OPINION

I am new to the Cherokee Forum but not new to forums. I am a memeber of titantalk.com and have found that forums are the best place for knowledge...which brings me here.

I have a chance to get a 1991 Cherokee Larado 4x4, 4.0. It appears to be very clean on the inside and out for being 22 years old, and it has 145k on it. I dont know any other history.

I do know that the last time it was used on a road trip, it got hot, and upon inspection later in a garage, the mechanic believed that either there is a blown head gasket or its a cracked head.

I did a quick search and this seems to be common for the inline 6, 4.0 engine.

Is it worth the $1300?

I can turn a wrench....
