New from Eastern PA
Hey, Im new to forum and Cherokee's. I have been in the Grand Cherokee scene for about 6 years up until last february. I had a '99 Grand Cherokee with a 3" lift 32's, rack, OBA, lighting, all sorts of fun stuff. I sold that and bought a loaded up Commander limited. Then I got a new job with a longer commute and didnt like spending $400 a month in gas. I then bought a Caliber SRT-4 for the work commute (I also have a Charger SRT-8). Anyway.... Jeeps are addicting and I just picked up an '01 XJ.
I got an awesome deal. Its an '01 Limited with a 4.5" Rusty's lift, Rusty's CAI, 31's, No rust. Some minor dents/scratches. It had a blown head gasket and a few other problems that are really just lack of maintenance. Nothing major. I read up on the bad casting in '01's and figured I'd do the head gasket sealer in a bottle until I feel like replacing the whole head since it wont be just the gasket. It wasnt blown badly, and everyone I talked to said that sealer worked. It does! I picked that up for $1,200.
Needless to say I have big plans and will slowly build her up as I did my WJ
