New Cherokee owner in Hog Valley, FL
Greetings from Hog Valley, FL y'all!
I'm a new Jeep owner and have already put the information found here in the forum to good use lol. I really want to start by saying thanks to everyone who contributes here, you are doing the Jeep world a great service
I had a 43 year old rusted out Ford truck with mangled I-beams and no bed that my buddy always loved for some reason, and he was sitting on a '98 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4x4 that had stopped running on him. So we traded straight up.
After much cleaning and detailing, to my surprise there was a beautiful White Jeep under the years of mold and leaves. I found a starter for it and the thing fired right up! There was a rough idle issue, so ofcourse I came here and the searching began. I cleaned the TB and IAC, did a full tune-up, found a burnt wire on the O2 lead, found three vacuum leaks, and freshened up every ground on the vehicle. Still rough idle. Went to pull plugs to perform a compression check, and #1 and #2 plugs had little beads of water on them wah wah wahhh I think we all know that's...."unfortunate" to put it nice =)
So back to good ol' Cherokee Forum again to research known problems with HGs and/or heads in general. Lots of good stuff on which head is what, and the problem with the #0331. So now i'm sitting headless waiting on the mail, chomping at the bit to actually drive it, and long story short (too late) wanted y'all to know how much you are appreciated. Rock on!
