Hey Guys/girls name is Manny live in Philadelphia PA and im not new to jeeps own a stock 04 wrangler unlimited which is stock this is just my first cherokee. Recently just traded my 96 eclipse for a 96 Cherokee sport. Let me tell you a little that i know about it has a 6inch lift short arm skid row skid plate on pretty much everything rock guard on the front dif rocker guards on the side. 5 speed 4.0 176k friend told me it had a rebuild to the motor slip yoke or whatever its called in the rear pretty much nice lift jeep has 33inch tires. Not sure what kinda front and rear it has new to the cherokee thing never owned one or really know to much about them like i do with wranglers. Wanted a cherokee tho cause my wrangler is my daily driver so i didn't like taking it wheeling to much scared of braking something so i wanted a fun toy so this is why i got the cherokee. Love everything about it tho! well ill stop boring you all here are some pictures. IF anyone has anything to add about my cherokee or anything i should know about them please let me know! thanks!

Ps having a little of a overheating problem its not to bad but its going over 210 doesnt hit red tho. not sure what it is only does it when i drive for couple hours or do a lot of driving. Changed the thermostat to a 160 degree one and it takes a pretty long time now to get to 210 but after a couple hours of driving it today went over 210 again.. brought a new radiator cap see if that helps as well. Electric fan is broke looking to get other one n wire it to switch but with or without the fan it should be doing that. any ideas?

Hey Manny, nice Jeep. The front axle in it is a Dana 30 high pinion - reverse cut - 27 spline, 1.16" diameter shafts, 7.13" ring gear.
The rear axle is a Chrysler 8.25"- 27 spline, 1.17" diameter shafts, 8.25" ring gear, 3" axle tube - used 91-96.
The axle gearing for your '96 4.0L manual trans equipped XJ would be 3.07. If it had the trailer package it would have the 3.73 gears.
