Default New but not so New

Well my last post was over 2 years ago, lol, so I doubt anyone I know is still around. But I'm Patrick, from Fort Myers FL. I'm a tech by trade.

I'm now on my 7th Jeep, its an addiction. Back when I was first on here I had a 97xj with 5" lift and 31's, as well as a 02 WJ. Since then, the past few years have been rather rough. Gave the WJ to my fiancee's family, and after a job loss last year I had to part ways with the XJ, worst move I've ever made.

But since then I'm DD'ing a great little Neon I picked up, which has doubled as my auto-x ride, and since work has been steady, I decided to treat myself to another XJ!

Since this isn't gonna be a DD (first Jeep I've owned that I haven't had to daily), this is gonna be the dream build.

Great to be back in the mix, I'll throw up some pics of the newest rig & pictures of my past Jeeps.

Thanks!

Welcome, from Wisconsin. Yes, It's always nice to have a little gas sipper for a DD (work car). A few years back I bought a '94 Dodge spirit, from a co-worker for $400. Hated the car, but loved the four banger, front wheel drive. (kept it for six years. Only changed the oil twice a year, and put gas in it.) Figured I saved $1000-$1200 a year on gas (just going to work) Over the Ford Explorer, I had at the time. Ford Explorer, What a gas pig!

Thanks guys! Found a few shots of past rigs -

First Jeep 89 XJ (2wd) no mods

Second Jeep 97 ZJ 4x4 31" BFG's, Wagg brush guard & running boards

Third Jeep 92 YJ, 3" lift on 33" Baja Claws

(JeepBeach 2006, Daytona FL)

Forth Jeep, 97 XJ - (My old baby) 5" lift w/ Goodyear MT/R, 10,000 lbs winch, roof rack, full skid plating. Man I miss this one..

(Jeepfest 2008, Ft Lauderdale FL)

Fifth Jeep, 02 WJ, bought this with my Fiancee, but ended up giving it to her family after she passed.

My Neon - 2" drop on Tokio 8 way adjustable struts, 17" SRT rims, cold air intake, 2.5" cat back, short throw, strut tower bars, Persision clutch waiting to go in.

But just cause it's a Neon, doesn't mean it's afraid of rallying -

Sixth Jeep, 96 ZJ, not modding, restoring for my pops (he blew his car up back in Febuary, so I fixed this up real nice for him)

And my little treat to myself, after being personally Jeepless for almost a year, went and got my new toy -

1990 XJ.

So far its gutted, rhino lined, and welded all the rust holes in the floor boards.

It's nice to not be under the gun and worrying about finishing it, thats where the DD comes in handy. Plans are gonna be 6.5" lift, 35's, cage, and a hell of alot of other stuff. Like I said, this is gonna be my dream build. (I'll do a build thread eventually if people would be interested)

Thanks guys!
