Hey guys, glad to be part of the forum . I just bought my first Jeep Cherokee. Its a 1997 Xj, it has a 4'' on 31's. It does have 200k miles though , should I be worried about that? Its getting all the fluids changed tomorrow ( motor oil, transmission, front n rear axle, headlight fluid ) . I bought it for 1,500 dollars, so is it a good buy ? All it needs is a track bar, due to the previous owner lifted it without using the correct bar, and a o2 sensor. It does have some dings/dents here and there, but nothing to big.

You must not know Cherokees then, 200k is when they are just getting broken in lol

 

Eh, the number itself seems high. But the 4.0 is notorious of reching 300,000 assuming its been taken care of its entire life. My jeep currently has about 222XXX miles on it, runs strong.

A other pic. Changed the oil today, spent 2 hours on just the filter, due to the previous owner decided to not put any oil on the gasket, and tighten it with a cheater bar or somthing! I had to use vise-scrip oil filter tool with a bar !
