new
Well I figure I should post something here in the new guy area before hitting other threads. I've been lurking in the back ground as a non member reading stuff on here while I located my XJ. I ended up with a 2000 that is to be my DD/weekend wheeler (nothing too heavy) so I ordered a rusty's 3" tonight and will (eventually) be getting new 31's when funds allow. The plan is decent mileage (my ford I was using for a DD gets about 10) while still looking cool and being an acceptable rig for screwing around from time to time. I'd like to run 32's, but I figure I'll go 31's for now and if that doesn't seem to do it for me I can always do some triming and squeeze them in.

Welcome to the forums. Good luck with the "decent" mileage, XJ's aren't known to pass by to many gas stations.
Post up some pics when you get the lift on.

I'm not looking for civic hybrid mpg. I'm getting 18 1/2 mpg right now. If the lift and tires don't pull me down more than a couple mpg than I figure I'm good. I was D/Ding a 79 F250 and it was killing me. Driving to work is only 15 miles round trip so I can manage having mileage in the mid teens. It's having mileage around 9 that's kicking my butt. I'll have to try and remember what my photo bucket account password is, but I'll trow up some before and after picks of the lift.
