Hi All! Got a brand-new-to-me all-stock red 1995 XJ SE for my DD. I've driven and worked on a '94 Toyota Pickup for quite a while, love it in that Yota-fanatic way, but it has issues that I won't be able to deal with for a while, so I got myself this little red demon and couldn't be happier. It came up from NC and has never seen a brine-belt winter, not a speck of rust! Almost 290k but runs, shifts, and brakes real nice. Might be looking at a lift down the road, but I have some steering slop and wobble I have to deal with first.
On the Yota forums I was mostly a grateful lurker, but I will probably have some Jeep-newbie questions to put here.
Welcome! Congrats on finding a solid Jeep! I had an '88 in the same color back in the early '90's. It was a great vehicle for our family.
I joined not too long ago and just picked up a '99 XJ last weekend. It was a Texas Jeep so no rust either. But it's pretty beat up so I'm not sure how much I gained, lol. Mine needs a lot of work though starting with a front axle swap.
