Bought in Feb '11 in Compton, CA for $1500. Despite broken seats, death wobbles, electrical gremlins, and 32s on a budget boost its been fun so far.



So far I've done a new radio antenna, major tune up, cherry bomb glasspack ( sounds really good and not very loud ).

Round one to commence in 2 weeks: all new steering (zj v8 tie rods, rc hd stabilizer, sb brace, ball joints, track bar etc.), new seats, new windshield.

If there's enough in the budget I will do 4.5" springs, adj track bar, shocks up front w/ stock u&lcas and bastard pack rear and a sye. Then round 2 will be new CAs putting my spacers back in for 7"s of lift and rear shackles.

Nice I grew up in Pioneertown and used to take the back dirt road up to Big Bear all the time. I had a bronco II but I recently just got a 98 cherokee myself!...Welcome to the site I have only been here a day and got pages of info and ideas.

 

 

I've been to Pioneertown a few times. I was stationed at 29 palms for a while when I was in the Marine Corps. Never taken the back way from here, when I get the jeep all squared away that's one of the ones on my list.
