Good morning everybody!
I made the decision last Monday to trade in my 06 Charger SRT8 that I bought new, literally off the showroom floor in 2006, for a used 2005 Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7 Hemi.
This was one of the hardest decisions (vehicle-wise) I've ever had to make. That Charger was my dream car, and I relished every moment with her for over 4 years. I have pics of Woodward Dream Cruise tire roasting, etc., that I will post with minimal prompting.
But...
In these trying times, it made sense to minimize payments and other expenses for the betterment of my lifestyle. Also, have you ever tried to drive a 425hp musclecar in the snow of a Michigan winter?
I have been a senior member of the Chargerforums for about 4 years, and wanted to find another forum that is comparable in content and community to what I was/am used to. I hope I have found that place.
My first choice for an alternative to the Charger was a Jeep GC. In fact, i was seriously considering a Jeep even before I bought my SRT8. If i would have known Jeep was going to come out with an SRT8 version later that year I would have been on this forum back in 2006.
Anyways, I am very pleased with my new (to me) GC Limited and look forward to blasting through snow and every other obstacle that gets in my way!!
Bit of a long 'newbie' post, I know, and i will post pics of my GC as soon as I can get good quality shots of her....
