Howdy from the Gulf Coast!
I've been in Jeeps literally since I was born. In fact, I was very nearly born IN one! My hometown is Pickens, SC where my cousin, Larry Hinkle, had the World's Largest Jeep Dealership for years on end. My father, loving to fish the most inexcessable areas possible, always was close to Larry and never was without a Jeep.
Now I'm 48 years old and am driving a Jeep again. My latest is a 1997 Grand Cherokee Larado that was a gift from my daughter. Four-wheel disc breaks & a six cylinder engine. There are 155,000+ miles on her, but the trans has only 20,000 on it.
I'm no mechanic. I'm actually a disabled Navy vet, but I want to be driving this Jeep until I can find myself a nice little CJ-5 from around 1972 or earlier to play with. Expect me to be asking a LOT of questions!
