Default looking for some help

hello i'm new to this i have a 88 cherokee and i was wondering if i could swap the motor out of my 98 into my 88 i know the wire harness might be the a task in itself, but was wondering if anyone could give me a few helpful hints

I know that the one problem you could run into is the 98 is OBD2 and the 88 is OBD1

thanks for the info and the i will let you guys know how it goes should have some pics of the old girl up soon...lol.. and if there is anymore info on this subject i would love to hear it
