Cool Just wanted to say hi!

Whats going on guys? I'm Ben from Ayer Massachusetts, just wanted to say hello again.

It's been a while since I've been on here, I had a 98 XJ 3" Rusty's full packs suspension, with a flowmaster 40 ultra under her, K&N intake etc...
Sold that about 3 years ago and regretted it ever since!

Craving the Cherokee lifestyle I picked up another XJ 2001 bone stock in September 2015! I've decided to do the right thing and go through it top to bottom mechanically and whatnot before any serious mods. So far I've replaced:
-New BFG Long Trails (stock size) the tires were scary low for a NE Winter!
-Shocks all around...made my life a whole hell of a lot more comfortable
-Steering stabilizer, because why not?!
-Motor and Tranny mounts

Parts in the garage on stand-by:
-Bosch upgraded 4 hole injectors
-Water pump
-T-stat
-Fan clutch
-Radiator shroud (junk motor mounts caused it to get shredded)
-New windshield washer pump
-MOPAR front tow hooks
-Donor Chrysler 8.25, I'll be doing the shafts, seals, powertrax no slip and the disc brake conversion before it goes in (let me know if there's anything else you guys think I should do...?)

Future plans:
-Full exhaust, I could punch my finger through the muffler right now
-K&N intake
-Full fuel system (Bosch pump assembly, new lines and fuel rail)
-Either ZJ or OTK heavy duty steering upgrade
-New steering box with the reinforcement plate installed
-Built front axle (thinking LP D30)
-New U-joints all around
-SYE
-Eventually, new Clearwater head (if it doesn't crack on me first)
-LAST BUT NOT LEAST....at least 3.5-4" lift with 32-33's (depending on what I can squeeze in there!)

Don't want to go crazy with the lift because this is and will be my DD for quite some time now, the Jeep only has 127K on it and is going to be on the road for a very long time, if I have it my way!

Anyways, just wanted to give a little (orrr a lothaha) detail of what I'll be doing around these parts! If anyone is in the Mass area and wants to wrench on a clean 01 XJ let me know! I'll buy the beers!

Welcome to the forum. U would want a HP30 instead of the LP30.

I'd forget the k&n intake if you're going to use it offroad around mud and water. I would've killed my jeep by now if I didn't have the stock air box. The stock air box flows very well too. If anything get a true cai and go cowl intake or snorkel.
