Hello all,

Just wanted to say hi and intro myself. The name is Jay and I just bought a 99 Cherokee Sport today. This is my first Jeep. My wife had a YJ,but it was hers. I love this thing. It rides nice and has really good power. Its got a few bugs, but I will hash them out over this comming week.

I might be new to Jeeps but I have been a car guy for years. So I look forward to learning all I can,so thanks in advance. Here are some pics of it still at the lot.

Thanks for the welcome.
Yes. I want to do a 4-4.5" lift with some 31 or 32's. Not sure. She is my DD,so I can't go to over the top.I definately want atleast a 4" lift.

I have been reading on here for the past 4 days and i know i don't want an AAL,so this will cost me some, but i can't wait to do it. I have lots of plan.

Welcome to CF! Good looking '99! If you're planning on a 4-4.5" lift, you'll most likely need either a 1" t-case drop or an SYE. The SYE is nice, but a t-case drop will work just fine. The 97-01's tend to get rear drive shaft vibrations after being lifted a lot easier than the 84-96 XJ's.

Ozzie,

here is what my manual says.

1.turn the ignition switch to the on or ac position. using the point of a pen, press either the hr (H) or minute (M) buttons on the radio. the display will show time.

2. Press the H button to set hrs or the m for minutes, obviously. the time setting will increase each time you press a button.

Thats allright John. To be honest I didn't think they were goin to be the same. For one you're over seas and I'm sure that not all head units were the same for the US and UK.
Jay.

that would be correct. Like I said though, for 4-4.5", a 1" t-case drop should be fine.
