jeep sputters and shifts hard

My 2001 cherokee limited gives a throttle sensor alarm.It sputters and kicks out of over drive after about 10 miles and then straightens up after setting for a while.I have changed the throttle sensor and it did not fix the problem.It also shifts hard in all gears when it does this.Any ideas?

Welcome to the site, if there are any codes you may want to have them run to see if it points you in a direction as to what the issue could be.

interesting check that could help you isolate which circut the problem is in....
