Default Jeep noon from ohio

Hello everyone. I recently just picked up a 98 cherokee with 215k miles. I'm new to jeeps but always wanted one. I picked it up mostly for a winter ride, but I may use it all year. It's not the prettiest thing, has some rust starting to be aggressive on the passenger rear but otherwise it seems to be ok. Just needs a couple things to get it ready but I'm already molding lol. Have a huge list

Welcome. I'd investigate exactly how much rust damage already exists if I were you. If it's that bad from the outside (rear, and front I see) it's a lot worse where you can't see easily.

well, most of the entire passenger rear fender where the flare is is gone. then follow it down to under the door and there is a hole. its been cold and i havnt really had a chance or even have tools to mend it so i sprayed a primer on it to hopefully keep it from spreading. atleast until i can get something to patch it. I was thinking a fiberglass mesh and bondo, but id like some ideas

Primer won't help, because the rust under the primer is still hard at work. The body may be the least of your concerns, check the undercarriage, specifically around the suspension. Rust can't be patched over, it needs to be cut out totally.

Sorry to bust your bubble in multiple threads this morning.

LOL i figured idk why i though that would help. noob moment i guess. but it would have to wait until summer cause im not going to hack apart the jeep with no way to patch it. from what i saw though it looked ok. later today *if i wake up early enough (3rd shift life)* ill snap some photos of the under side and show yall
