Jeep Newbie from WI
Hey everyone!
Just thought I would introduce myself cause I am sure I will need some help down the road lol
Just picked up my first Jeep and excited to get at it!
1997 4 door XJ Sport
It came with a new 3 inch lift installed that maybe has 40 miles on after install. If I would guess I would say Rough Country by the way it looks. 170,000 miles, bald 31x10.5x15 tires. Major part is the body is rust free for the most part which is a big deal here in WI, just some dents and dings here and there.
Needs a lot of little stuff, it idles really high, sputters here and there while driving down the road. This weekend I plan on putting in new throttle positioning sensor, idle air control valve, and a set of Champion plugs. Will see how it is after that. Also the cruise light comes on but the cruise doesn't engage. And a Cracked header pipe. Plans for the near future are a new set of tires (Still trying to decide on all terrain or mud terrain, would like to wheel with it but will probably be on the street more so for work commute), new font and rear off road bumpers down the road.
