Default Introduction, 01 xj

Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself and my jeep. Been a long time wheeling/overland fan but only owned land rovers and toyotas (I know, I know). I sold my 4runner at 300,000 and saw this 2001 cherokee for $800 and couldn't resist. Clean title 2 owners well maintained with 4 brand new bfg a/ts.. 160k miles.

figured I couldn't go wrong since it was basically the price of the tires. Had it a couple days allready fixed a window switch issue and pinched speaker wire. I hope to be of help to everyone on here and get some help as well! Here she is:

Newb also. Just wanted to ask if you feel guilty about scoring a Jeep in that shape for under $1K. Oh my good deal.

No guilt whatsoever I thought the ad was a scam honestly. Just means I have more cash to put into it. It really doesn't need anything though, interior is perfect, it drives very well and was mechanically taken care of very well.

Congratulations. Sounds like a great deal if the motor is in good shape.

First thing you should do is read up on the 0331 head crack and make sure you know what to do if it happens. The 2000 and 2001 XJs came with a head casting that is prone to cracking between the #3 and #4 cylinders even if it's never been overheated. You need to know the signs and what to do about it.
