Hello all! I am a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Loredo owner from Chelsea, OK. Which is north of Tulsa on hwy 66 for those who are like Where in BFE is that. I just found these forums and after looking around and seeing all the awesome advice I joined. God only knows I need all the advice on my jeep that I can get. I am the second owner of it and have had it for 3 years now and everything decided to go wrong with it this year. !!!! We have heater problems, electric fan not kicking on and causing it to overheat on warm days, shaking when you break from speeds above 45, need electrical harness and control box on passenger side. Pretty much you can think of seems to have gone wrong. The control box on the passenger side has caused the back window not to go up, back hatch door to stay locked and not being able to open passenger door from outside. Sucks! Anyways my husband is able to fix things but diffinately needs help and advice when things go wrong. Anyways just wanted to say howdy!

 

Welcome to the site. Granted I don't know squat about grands but we have an area that should help and we have a few ZJ/WJ owners around as well. Moving to the intros area so you will get more visibility..

 

Dang! sounds like you ended up with a ticking time bomb.
Thats alright though.. Start with drivability issues first and work your way down.

Thats what it feels like. I absolutely love it but it seems this year from June on that all we do is replace parts and try to fix it. Last month we replaced the serpentine belt ( which is now broke) a cvc joint and wheel bearing hub. Plus we have replaced other things. My husband is a HUGE procrastinator and I have to nag at him to get anything done. And then I feel terrible about it. I am a laid back person and almost never lose my temper but when it comes between my jeep and shopping my temper just vanishes. LOL I am a woman after all.
