Hi guys, my names Thomas and Im from SoCal. I have recently acquired a ZJ with a 5.2L as a trade from a friend for my mechanical expertise on his other cars.


This pristine beauty has been blocked in the drive way for years and if i fix the cars blocking it in its mine. I plan on building it to be primarily my Gambler 500 build, and a camping rig.

Heres where i know you guys are gonna turn on me... I'm chopping the roof off and making it into a buggy style build. Dont worry, I’ll be fabbing up a pleanty stiff cage/semi-tube chassis. My main and basically only question because this is my first ZJ is what parts can i pull off of other vehicles to use at basically super cheap junkyard upgrades till i get a proper long arm suspension with bigger axels. Like can some one link some pages and discussions about this? Thanks guys, I cant wait to finally get in the dirt instead of driving lowered cars.
