I Bought a Zoo... er, Jeep
Been asking questions here for a few months and finally got a Jeep last night.
1989 Cherokee Pioneer. I thought it might have a D44 because of the towing package but it didn't. A little rough but ran good and relatively low miles so I bought it anyway.
Been online all morning ordering lift kit, tires, etc. Money = gone

My dad is out of control. My mom passed away a little over a month ago and I know he's bored. He told me to leave the Jeep at his house so he could fix all the issues. I thought he'd take his time but I went over there tonight and he had already replaced the door handle, fixed the eeP and make it say Jeep, troubleshot and fixed the non-flashing signal, banged out some small dents, and even the cup holder. Tomorrow he will work on the A/C. Thanks dad.

Welcome from Wisconsin. It's good to see your father keeping busy. And helping you out at the same time. Both of my parents are gone, So apprecaite the time you have left with your remaining parent. I always wish I would of spent more time with mine. If you want to know what your jeep came with. Get the org. build sheet. Just fill this out, asking for the build sheet at the bottom. You'll get it e-mailed back in about 2-3 days. http://www.jeep.com/wccsapp/universa...ull&category=U

One odd item on the build sheet they sent me. This was one it. No badge, no badges seem to be missing and I'm pretty sure none had 4.7L motors.
MTBS 4.7L HO Badge
I did find it has a D35 with 3.55 gears listed along with a tow package.

The build sheets are not exactly accurate. (as you see) My has a couple mistakes on it. They didn't offer a 4.7L yours is a 4.0L. (renix) The first year for the H.O. was 1991. the D35 with 3.55 gears listed along with a tow package. are the same as mine and it is with or without the tow pkg. Except the tow pkg. comes with a tranny cooler. The badging is on the side (Where it says Pioneer)

Thanks for the info and link.
Dad has the A/C working now. We already take him out to diner often but I'll have to come up with something extra special for him.

Sorry to hear about your mom passing, mine is 95 and just got out of the hospital. Your dad sounds great, so enjoy the fun of owning a Jeep and share it with him often.
