OK, so I took the plunge and got a great deal on two Grand Cherokees yesterday. Crazy as this sounds I've been a Mercedes Benz owner for the past 10 years and have had multiple (ML320, E350, ML500, C350, C55 AMG).....got a wild hair and was way sick of the service charges so I went back to my roots and bought American again. Anyway the deal that I got was pretty darn good. Traded in a paid off 2006 ML500 and a 2006 C55 (I'll really miss that one, that car was a preditor on the road) for two 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee Loredo's (one for me and one for the wife and kiddies). The best part is that it cost me no money and the combined payment for both Jeeps is only $50 more than the AMG payment alone. Essentially I bought one and got one free.

Looking forward to regular gas, cheaper maintenance, way better fuel economy and especially being able to leave my house when there is more than a dusting on the road.

Quick story, for those in the Northeast region we've been getting slammed with snow over the past 2.5 weeks. I couldn't drive my AMG for two weeks straight and taking the ML500, while an option, was a "real treat" due to my having to take the wife and kids to a town 30 miles in the wrong direction prior to me heading to the office for the day. Not to mention that I had to leave the office an hour early each day to pick them up. I think the solid two weeks of doing that sealed the deal on me needing to take this step.

I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions over the next few months, but looking forward to learning the in's and out's of these new vehicles.

Any things I should be on the lookout for sooner rather than later? Also, I want to lower mine becuase I'm just not used to sitting this high and do like a bit tighter suspension....any suggestions there?

Thanks all.
