Just moved to Ridgway Colorado from northwest Arkansas after retiring. I decided quickly my Mustang wasn't going to cut it here, so I bought a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (keeping the Mustang, just not a good winter car). Runs great, new Cooper Discovery M+S tires, new transmission, and the price was right. I think it'll do better in the snow and gravel roads. This is my first Jeep and first 4wd, so I'm looking forward to hitting the Jeep trails around me. Wondering are there any Jeep clubs here? I'm not going on a back trail for the first time alone, that I think would be foolish. Anyway, like the web site and looking forward to learning about my Jeep and stuff I can add to it. Here's a photo, I took that black bra thing off. I want to add a black brush guard grill, probably a cb radio, and a winch.

 

Welcome to the forums, hope you have fun with the Jeep. Good idea about finding someone to wheel with....never wheel alone....That's the main reason I have not been offroad with mine yet.
