Hi from SoCal
Just checking in here first. I am actively searching for my first Cherokee, and am getting lots of useful information from here. Geographically, I'm around 30 miles from Johnson valley (KOH). I'm looking for a rig that has some farkles, but not beat to hell. I have my eye on one locally, but still debating if I want to deal with a manual trans. If any members around my area have any suggestions, feel free to pm me.
I decided on an xj after researching various options. The wrangler is simply too small, and the 4runners...well, I don't need to preach to the choir. in my youth, I did have a pair of 64 scouts. Man I wish I still had those, but this will be my first jeep, unless you want to count a brief fling with a 2wd grand.
