Hi! New from Iowa!
I just upgraded from a 2001 Saturn to a 1993 XJ! I am very excited! At first I was apprehensive because I would be losing my electric windows/locks and cruise control, but after bringing the Jeep from New York to college in Iowa, I found it not as bad as I expected (except for the MPG...).
So I am just curious... Any tips for a new Jeep owner with decent electrical experience, but no mechanical experience? I've already put in my own aftermarket radio, but the left front speaker isn't working, so I have to go in and see if it's the wiring or the speaker itself. I am hoping it's the speaker as I plan on putting in aftermarket speakers as well.
Also, does anyone know of any good areas to take this sucker to test out its offroading capabilities? I am about an hour east of Des Moines, but I'm willing to drive an hour or two..
On that note, I will be moving to Manhattan, Kansas after I get married in May. Any good spots there?
Thanks in advance, and I am very excited to start my new hobby!
