Default Hey guys fellow forum member

Noob guy from chicago here. I'm pretty new to jeeps but my good buddy used to have a 94 grand Cherokee with a 4.5 RE lift on 33 s so I know these trucks some.
As for me I have a Dakota right now and I'm thinking about buying a an xj and could use some help. It will mainly be a winter ride so I can park my truck during the snowy weather. I don't need anything fancy but I really wanna fit 35s I've looked around and seen people tuck them on 4.5" of lift.
I believe a fellow member from my forum is on here and he goes by aircruiser.
As for pics of rides.

Nice truck. Good luck on your search for an XJ.

With the proper trimming and bump stopping you can run 35's on 4.5" lift with no problems.

by the way, you know a guy named sunset. call him a homo for me.

You would be better off with 33s. When you put 35s on you usually have to regear and if you have a d35 rear it would probably have to be upgraded, but not necessarily.

yea there is a bunch of things you would want to change.

gearing would be the main thing though, stock 3.55's would suck with 35's. then when you lift it over 3" you have to look at other things too like drive shaft angle, control arm angle, and brake lines.

i think what the brother is trying to get you to go for is a 3" and 33's set up.
3.55s and 33's is not horrible, a simple T-case drop would work for the driveshaft, and you can rock the stock control arms with the lift kit.
